| Anmerkungen |
The Bukhara People's Soviet Republic did not actually come into existence until 1920, following the Red Army's assault on the Emirate of Bukhara in September of that year. Notes bearing a 1918 date and attributed to the BPSR Treasury reflect catalog convention rather than strict historical sequence — the early emissions from this region are notoriously difficult to date and attribute with precision, and Pick numbering here papers over genuine uncertainty.
Bukhara's monetary tradition was deeply rooted in the tanga, a silver unit with centuries of Central Asian history behind it. Issuing paper denominated in tengas was itself a political act, anchoring the new administration to local commercial convention rather than imposing the ruble outright.
