The BEAC's 5000 Franc series covering this period circulated across six member states — Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — each receiving notes with a distinguishing letter code in the serial prefix identifying the country of issue.
