The BEAC's 5000 Franc series covering this period circulated across six member states — Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — each receiving notes with a distinguishing letter code in the serial prefix identifying the country of issue. The consistency of the Mamalepot signature across nearly the entire run is notable; the shift to Aleka-Rybert as second signatory from 2000 onward reflects a change in the vice-governorship of the bank.
P#104C sits within a broader lettered classification scheme used by Pick to differentiate BEAC issues by signature combination rather than by issuing country.
