| 备注 |
The BCEAO was established in 1959 as French West Africa fragmented into independent states, and this note circulated across a monetary union that initially included eight newly sovereign countries sharing a single currency — an arrangement that made rotating national signatories a political necessity rather than a banking convenience. The left-hand signature changed with each member state's designated representative, while Julienne held the right-hand position continuously through most of the series before Fadiga replaced him in 1965.
Henri Konan Bédié, whose signature appears on the final 1965 pairing, later served as President of Côte d'Ivoire from 1993 until his overthrow in a 1999 coup. Edem Kodjo went on to become Secretary-General of the OAU. The K suffix on the Pick number denotes the Senegal issuing code for this type.
