| Opmerkingen |
The Socialist Soviet Republic of Armenia existed as a nominally independent entity for barely two years before being formally absorbed into the Transcaucasian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in March 1922 — the same year this note was issued. By that point, hyperinflation across the former Transcaucasian republics had driven denominations into the millions, making notes like this more a symptom of monetary collapse than a functioning medium of exchange.
The Erivan designation on the note refers to the city now known as Yerevan, the administrative capital. Whether significant quantities reached actual circulation before Soviet currency consolidation rendered them obsolete is unclear.
