The issuer's name 'Württembergische Notenbank' is set in Gothic blackletter script at the top, above a small ornamental vignette at centre; the denomination 'Fünf Millionen Mark' is rendered in large Gothic script dominating the centre field, with the numeral '5,000,000' repeated at lower left and right. The place and date of issue, Stuttgart, 1. August 1923, appear at the foot alongside two manuscript signatures under the designations 'für den Aufsichtsrat' and 'der Vorstand', with a redemption clause in small text along the bottom margin. |
