| Obverse description | Printed in ochre and dark brown on cream paper, the obverse carries a landscape vignette in the upper portion showing a traditional half-timbered Swabian farmhouse set against an Alpine mountain backdrop with conifers, rendered in a fine line-art style. A decorative border of stylised foliate and flame motifs frames the entire note, with the numeral "5000000" repeated vertically in the left and right margins.
