| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark blue and red on cream paper, with an elaborate ornamental border of interlocking scrollwork running the full perimeter. A diagonal lozenge underprint in pale grey — referencing the Bavarian State arms — fills the central field, over which the denomination "Fünf Millionen Mk." is set in large red Fraktur lettering. The upper register carries the denomination "5 000 000 Mk." repeated on both sides flanking the word "Gutschein" in black Gothic script, followed by a multi-line redemption text, the issue date "Bad Reichenhall, 10. September 1923," the issuing authority "Stadtrat Bad Reichenhall," multiple manuscript signatures, a circular official seal of the Stadtrat, and a red six-digit serial number at the foot; the printer's imprint "Zugschwerdt's Nachf., Bad Reichenhall" appears at the lower right. |
