| Obverse description | Printed entirely in green on cream paper, the obverse is structured around a central rectangular panel with fine guilloche border enclosing the full text of the Zahlungsanweisung (payment order), including the issuing authority, redemption instructions, date of 3 September 1923, and a manuscript signature of the 1. Bürgermeister. Tall ornamental lateral vignettes composed of interlocking diamond lozenges and foliate guilloche work flank the central text block on both sides, each bearing the denomination '5.000.000' in bold Gothic script oriented vertically. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, in the same green on cream colourway, centres on a circular vignette of the Neustadt an der Donau municipal seal, in which two crenellated towers flank a Bavarian lozenge shield within a beaded legend surround. A vertically oriented oval guilloche cartouche to the left carries the black-printed serial number, while the right side repeats the diamond-lozenge ornamental panel seen on the obverse; the printer's imprint is set in small capitals along the lower margin. |
