The denomination 'Fünf Millionen Mark' is rendered in large Gothic (Fraktur) letterpress script, with the numeral '5' and 'Millionen' repeated in the upper corners; below, a redemption clause in smaller roman type is flanked on the left by the circular municipal seal of Wald bearing a castle motif. The issue date 'Wald 5. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse carries a large central vignette in brown intaglio-style print comprising two male figures in working dress — a bare-headed industrial worker to the left and a hatted craftsman to the right — each seated and flanking the Wald municipal coat of arms, which displays an oak-branch device on a shield surmounted by a castellated tower. An industrial townscape forms the background underprint, and a curved ribbon banner below reads 'Stadt Wald' at the extremities with the anti-counterfeiting legend 'Nachahmung Strafbar' on a central scroll. The denomination 'Fünf Millionen Mark' appears in Gothic script within a foliate cartouche at the top centre. |
