| Obverse description | Printed in black on a pale green underprint of an all-over foliate pattern with stylised leaves and branches, the note carries the issuer heading 'Stadtgemeinde Lörrach' at top centre in Gothic letterpress. The denomination '5.000.000 Mark' appears in the upper left and upper right corners, with the large-script value 'Fünf Millionen Mark' set in bold Fraktur type across the centre.
