The figure holds a wreath and palm branch in the typical Victory type associated with Galban coinage. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consulto) is disposed on either side of the figure in the field, left and right respectively. The reverse shows characteristic wear consistent with extended circulation prior to and during the Ostrogothic countermarking period. The overall composition fills the flan in a bold, well-centred manner. |
