Gangeya Deva ruled the Kalachuris of Tripuri at the dynasty's political peak, extending influence across much of central India and briefly challenging Paramardideva-era Chandela power in the Bundelkhand region. His gold coinage is notable for its progressive debasement across the reign — early issues approach acceptable fineness, while later strikes show measurable silver contamination, likely reflecting both the costs of sustained military campaigning and disrupted access to reliable bullion sources in the Narmada corridor.
