Reverse description An allegorical female figure representing Scientia stands in the centre, raising a flaming torch in her right hand and treading upon a dragon of darkness at her feet. Two putti flank her, each standing on a low plinth and holding an oval heraldic shield adorned with oak and laurel branches — the arms of Württemberg to the left and those of Tübingen to the right. The circumferential Latin legend arcs across the top of the field, and the date inscription appears in the exergue. The engraver's signature K. SCHWENZER is incised on the base line.
Reverse script Latin
