备注

The Auto-Moto Savez Jugoslavije was Yugoslavia's national automobile and motorcycle association, and this 400 Dinara piece is not a banknote in any conventional sense — it functioned as a prepaid fuel coupon or travel voucher, issued during a period when Yugoslavia managed hard currency shortages and fuel rationing through parallel coupon systems. Foreign tourists were often required or encouraged to purchase fuel in this way, insulating the official dinar exchange rate from the pressures of the black market.

By 1983, Yugoslav inflation was already accelerating sharply toward the hyperinflationary collapse of the late 1980s. The 400 dinar denomination reflects that pressure.
