| Reverse description | Within a beaded circular border, a decorative wreath composed of tulip branches frames a central three-line inscription in the field. At the apex of the wreath appears a monogram P surmounted by a cross, while a six-pointed star ornament marks the base. The sparse, bold lettering and the tulip wreath are emblematic of Amsterdam siege coinage of 1578, conveying the civic and religious defiance of the besieged city. |
