| Reverse description | Central field features the Ceará provincial countermark: a five-pointed star bearing a Masonic or decorative device at its centre, applied as a punch countermark to indicate revaluation to 40 Réis. The star is surrounded by a wreath of laurel branches interspersed with small floral ornaments. The circular legend PETRUS II D. G. C. IMP. ET PERP. BRAS. DEF. runs along the periphery, with the date 1827 (the host coin's date) and a mint mark visible in the lower exergue. |
