| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing busts of Phocas (left) and Heraclius (right), both bearded and wearing imperial crowns with pendilia and elaborate loros or consular robes adorned with jewelled decoration. A patriarchal cross on steps appears between the two figures. The surrounding legend reads in Latin partially: ∂mN ЄRACLIO CONSЧLII. The style is characteristically flat and frontal, consistent with early seventh-century Byzantine provincial coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large denomination mark M (40 nummi) occupying the central field, surmounted by a patriarchal cross. To the right of the M, the regnal year III is rendered in Roman numerals. The word ANNO is inscribed vertically to the left of the M. In the exergue, the mint signature ΚΥΠΡΟΥ (Cyprus) is inscribed in Greek characters, identifying the issuing mint. The overall style is bold and deeply struck, typical of the Cypriot issues of the Heraclian interregnum period. |
