Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Carlo Felice of Sardinia, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curly hair and a naturalistic portrait style characteristic of early 19th-century Piedmontese coinage. The truncation of the neck is unadorned. The circular Latin legend surrounding the effigy reads CAR·FELIX D·G·REX SAR·CYP·ET HIER·, proclaiming his titles as King of Sardinia, Cyprus, and Jerusalem. The mint year appears in the lower field below the portrait. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded inner border.
