Obverse description Printed in black on buff paper, the obverse carries a central oval vignette of the village of Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall, with a church tower and surrounding rural buildings set against an agricultural landscape of radiating field lines and a wheat sheaf motif in the upper left corner. The oval vignette is framed by a decorative bead-and-link border, above which the issuer name 'Pfarrkirchen bei Bad Hall' appears in Gothic script, while a violet overprint reading 'Prinzersdorf' is applied across the centre of the vignette. The denomination '40 Heller' is rendered in large Gothic numerals and script in the lower portion of the design, with the monogram 'KN' and date '1920' printed below the central vignette.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in black on the same buff stock and consists entirely of a text block enclosed within a decorative scrollwork border of interlocking foliate motifs at top and bottom. The text, set in a mixture of serif and semi-Gothic typefaces, records the municipal council resolution of 24 May 1920 authorising the issue of vouchers totalling 50,000 Kronen, declares the municipality's full financial guarantee for redemption, and states that the vouchers lose validity on 1 October 1920, with only those bearing the official municipal seal to be honoured. A printer's imprint 'Druck: Prietsei, Steyr.' appears in small type below the border.
