| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is dominated by a full-width composite vignette incorporating the national flag as a background underprint with five white stars, with a Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) rendered in intaglio at the left alongside traditional figures paddling a canoe on open water. A diagonal transparent window bisects the note, through which an underwater scene with tropical fish and a diver appears in colour. The bold intaglio numeral '40' occupies the lower right, with the inscriptions 'SOLOMON ISLANDS' and the commemorative legend 'A CALL TO THE NATION TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE AND MOVE FORWARD' running along the lower margin. |
