The circular legend reads 2 FRANCS·DANSK VESTINDIEN·40 CENTS around the upper periphery. In the lower exergue, separated by a horizontal line, appear the mint heart symbol, the date 1905, and the mintmaster's initial P, with the engraver's initials G.I. visible at the lower left of the field.
