| Obverse description | The arms of Venezuela appear at left and the arms of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic at right, separated at centre by a classical fluted column surmounted by the date 1997. The legend REPUBLICA ARABE SAHARAUI arcs along the outer border, while the bilingual inscription 15 AÑOS DE AMISTAD and its Arabic equivalent سنة من الصداقة 15 appear below the arms in the lower field. The denomination 40 000 PESETAS SAHARAUIS and the fineness notation AU.900 are inscribed along the bottom rim. |
