Obverse description Armored bust of Duke Frederick of Brunswick-Lüneburg facing right, set within an elaborate wreath of laurel and olive branches at the center of the field. Surrounding the bust is an array of ten heraldic shields representing the various territories and titles of the Duke, arranged symmetrically around the central effigy. The peripheral legend in Latin script reads: V G G FRIDERICH HERTZOG ZU BRAUNSUEIG UND LUNEBURG, running along the outer border. The overall composition is characteristic of large-format Löser coinage, with fine detail in the armor and heraldic devices achieved through skilled hammered die work.
