Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Grand Master Antoine de Paule, featuring the cross of the Order of St. John combined with the personal heraldic devices of the Grand Master, surmounted by a crown. The denomination numerals T and 4 flank the shield on either side. The surrounding circular legend names the Grand Master and his title, separated by pellets, with the date appearing at the top of the coin between the legend and the crowned shield.
