Reverse description Displayed imperial double-headed eagle with spread wings and detailed feathering occupying the central field, each head crowned and the breast bearing an orb surmounted by a cross. The eagle is rendered in the bold, stylised manner typical of early seventeenth-century Holy Roman Empire provincial coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the circumscribed Latin imperial legend running around the outer border on an irregular hammered flan. The type references Emperor Matthias I (r. 1612–1619), whose titulature appears in abbreviated form in the legend.
