| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Louis XIV with flowing long wig, rendered in high relief within a beaded border. The king is portrayed bare-headed, without laurel or diadem, in the classical manner favored during the early decades of his reign. The effigy is surrounded by a circular Latin legend interrupted by pellet stops. The portrait style reflects the work of engraver François Warin, characterized by fine detailing of the curling wig and drapery folds at the truncation. |

| Reverse description | A fleur-de-lis cross occupies the central field, formed by four fleurs-de-lis arranged in cruciform fashion, with a royal crown surmounting the uppermost fleur-de-lis. The mint mark letter appears in the center of the cross, identifying the issuing mint. The entire design is enclosed within a continuous circular Latin legend separated by pellet stops, and the coin date appears within the legend at the top. A beaded border frames the entire reverse. |
