Nine six-pointed stars are arranged in an arc around the upper periphery of the central device. The circular legend 'REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA' runs along the upper rim, with mint mark 'PTS', date '1860', and assayer initials 'F·J·' completing the inscription along the lower rim, all separated by pellets. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |

The circular legend 'LIBRE POR LA CONSTITUCION' arcs around the upper and lateral rim, separated by pellets at each terminus.
