Obverse description Central shield bearing the Moor's head emblem of Corsica, depicted in left profile, surmounted by an elaborate mural crown. Two nude male figures, rendered in the manner of tritons or genii, flank the shield symmetrically, each reclining outward and supporting garlands of foliage that frame the central device. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded border, the overall design executed in a baroque allegorical style characteristic of mid-18th century Genoese-influenced coinage.
