The shield is surmounted by a royal crown with a cross finial. The surrounding Latin legend reads · FRID · III · D · G · DAN · N · V · G · REX ·, identifying Frederik III as King of Denmark, Norway, of the Wends and the Goths by the Grace of God. The design is executed in a bold, relatively high relief typical of mid-17th-century Danish milled coinage. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse carries an entirely typographic design with no figurative elements, displaying the denomination and date in four lines across the field: IIII / SKILLING / DANSKE / 1667, all in large roman capital letters. Six six-pointed star ornaments are disposed symmetrically around the inscription, one at each upper corner and one at each lower corner. The mintmaster's initials G · K · (Gregorius Kohl, Copenhagen Mint) appear in the lower exergual area, separated by central stops. The plain field and bold lettering are characteristic of the inscriptional reverse type used on Danish skillings of this period. |
