| Obverse description | Right-facing draped and armored bust of King Christian IV wearing a crown, with a ruffled collar and cuirass visible below the truncation, all contained within an inner pearled circle. The royal effigy is rendered in the late Renaissance portrait style typical of early seventeenth-century Danish coinage. The circumferential legend runs around the periphery outside the pearled border, interrupted at the base by the four-digit mint date. The date 1608 appears in the lower field beneath the bust, between the pearled circle and the outer rim. |
