| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King George V facing left, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair, beard, and moustache. The king is depicted with a draped truncation at the shoulder, and the engraver's initials 'DG' are visible on the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRATIA INDIAE IMPERATOR, arranged along the inner border, with a beaded rim encircling the entire obverse field. |
