Reverse description A double-headed Imperial eagle displayed in high relief, with wings spread and both heads facing outward, set within a beaded inner circle. An orb or decorative device is visible on the eagle's breast, referencing the Holy Roman Emperor's authority. The surrounding Latin legend names Emperor Matthias with his imperial titles, inscribed in a continuous band between the inner beaded circle and the coin's toothed outer rim. The bold, somewhat crude engraving is consistent with hammered provincial coinage of the early seventeenth century.
