正面描述 Central field features the word 'Allah' (الله) inscribed within a six-pointed star (Seal of Solomon), formed by two interlaced equilateral triangles. The star is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. Surrounding the central device, an Arabic circular legend occupies the broad outer border, with additional decorative Arabic inscriptions arranged around the periphery. The design is framed by a beaded outer rim consistent with Moroccan Sharifian coinage of the period.

附加信息

This piece belongs to a monetary reform effort initiated under Moulay al-Hasan I as Morocco attempted to modernize its coinage system in response to sustained European commercial pressure. The 1880 Madrid Conference — which that same year codified foreign powers' extraterritorial rights in Morocco — created urgent incentive for the Makhzen to demonstrate fiscal credibility through standardized, Western-compatible coinage. Pattern issues from this period were struck in limited numbers, largely for evaluation and presentation purposes, and most never advanced to circulation.

Fr#5 is among the rarest of the Moroccan gold patterns from this reign.
