Reverse description Central field displays a four-line Arabic legend identifying Muhammad III al-Sadiq as Bey of Tunis, with the denomination numeral '4' and the Hijri date '1294' inscribed in the lower portion, the date being separated from the upper text by a horizontal rule. The entire legend is enclosed within a wreath of two olive branches tied at the base with a decorative ribbon, differing subtly from the palm-frond wreath on the obverse. A fine milled border runs along the periphery. The absence of the honorific epithet 'Al-Ghazi' distinguishes this issue from related types. The composition is purely epigraphic, in keeping with the aniconic tradition of Tunisian-Ottoman coinage.
