| Obverse description | Central device depicting the arms of the Central American Federation: five volcanic peaks rising from the sea surmounted by a radiant sun, all set within a plain circular border. The volcanoes are rendered in bold relief with the sun's rays fanning prominently upward across the upper field. The circumferential legend reads MON • PROVISIONAL DEL EST • DE HOND •:• in raised Latin capitals, separated by small bullet stops, encircling the entire design. The coin exhibits a milled or beaded outer border. The overall engraving style is characteristic of early Republican Central American coinage from the Tegucigalpa mint. |
