The shield is encircled by a laurel wreath tied at the base, with the denomination numeral 4 to the left and the mark R to the right of the wreath. The peripheral legend EN UNION Y LIBERTAD arcs across the upper field, with the mint mark, assayer initial, and date 1813 distributed around the lower portion of the coin separated by dot stops. |
