A central vignette presents a reclining dog guarding a strongbox, symbolising security and fidelity. 备注

Banco Argentino operated out of Paraná, Entre Ríos, during the brief period when that city functioned as the capital of the Argentine Confederation — a rival federal government to Buenos Aires. By 1866, that political arrangement was long dead, absorbed after the Battle of Cavia and Buenos Aires's eventual dominance, which makes this note a survivor from a banking institution whose political moment had already passed before the note was even printed.

The denomination in Bolivian silver reales rather than Argentine pesos reflects the chronic shortage of standardized domestic currency in the Littoral provinces, where Bolivian silver coin circulated more reliably than local issues. ABNC took the order regardless — New York was printing for half of South America at the time.
