正面描述	Central device depicts the Guatemalan national arms: a scroll inscribed LIBERTAD / 15 / DE / SETIEMBRE / DE / 1821 surmounted by a quetzal bird perched atop it, flanked by two crossed rifles and two crossed swords, all enclosed within a wreath of laurel and oak tied with a ribbon at the base. The date 1895 appears prominently in the exergue below the wreath. The encircling legend REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA runs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, bounded by a finely toothed border.
