Reverse description Large plain cross with quadrants displaying alternating castles and lions, representing the kingdoms of Castile and León respectively, arranged in the traditional Spanish macuquina style. The cross divides the field into four equal quarters, each containing a single heraldic charge in high relief. The surrounding legend, partially struck due to the irregular hammered flan, carries the royal title and date. The overall design follows the established macuquina (cob) coinage type standard for Spanish colonial and metropolitan mints of the period.
