| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears the crowned quartered royal arms of Spain, displaying castles (Castile) and lions (León) in the principal quarters, with fleurs-de-lis (Bourbon) and additional heraldic charges, all surmounted by a large royal crown. The denomination numeral '4' appears to the right of the shield and the mint mark 'M' with assayer initials 'JF' to the left and right respectively. The circular legend reads PHILLIPUS V D G R, arranged around the shield, separated by small rosette ornaments. The overall design is executed in the milled pillar-and-arms style characteristic of Felipe V's second coinage type. |
