Reverse description Cob-type reverse displaying the Cross of Jerusalem, a bold equal-armed cross with trefoil terminals dividing the field into four quarters, each containing a castle or lion in alternation as part of the standard Spanish colonial design. The cross is enclosed within a tressure or inner border, with the partial legend of the royal titles and territorial claims running along the outer edge, characteristically incomplete due to the irregular flan. The mint mark 'L' for Lima and the assayer's initial are partially visible, consistent with Lima mint cob issues of the period.
