Reverse description Bold Jerusalem cross with fleurs-de-lis in each angle, occupying the majority of the flan, struck in the cob style characteristic of colonial Mexican coinage of the period. The cross is deeply impressed and well-centred, with lions and castles partially visible in the quadrants formed by the cross arms. The surrounding circular legend, where legible, reads the abbreviated royal title and dominion inscription, though as is typical of macuquina coinage, much of the legend falls off the irregular planchet edge.
