| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a simplified quartered shield within a decorative quadrilobe frame, bearing alternating castles of Castile and rampant lions of León in the four quarters, representing the traditional arms of the Spanish monarchy in the style characteristic of the early milled coinage of Carlos III. The date 1761 appears prominently at the top of the circular legend, which reads HISPANIARUM REX, separated by small rosette stops. The design is surrounded by a continuous milled border and exhibits the clean, neoclassical engraving style introduced under the direction of Tomás Francisco Prieto. |
