| Obverse description | At centre, a finely engraved intaglio vignette of a hound's head in profile is set within an oval frame, flanked by two guilloche medallions each bearing the numeral "4". The bank title "EL BANCO OXANDABURU Y GARBINO" arches across the upper margin in ornate lettering, with the place name "Gualeguaychú" and issue date "2 Enero de 1869" in script below; the denomination "CUATRO REALES BOLIVIANOS" appears in bold letterpress above a large brown underprint reading "CUATRO" with an interlocking security-text pattern filling the lower half.
