| Obverse description | Plain central field bearing six large Chinese characters arranged in two rows of three, reading 湖阜官 / 南南局 (Hunan Fu-Nan Monetary Bureau). The inscription is rendered in a bold, brushwork-influenced style typical of late Qing provincial bullion issues. The central device is enclosed by a plain inner circle, outside of which runs a continuous border of raised beads following the coin's periphery. |
