Obverse description Central field displays the crowned coat of arms of Schaumburg-Lippe, consisting of a shield bearing a six-petalled rose, flanked on either side by two crossed hammer-like tools (representing the county's heraldic supporters), all surmounted by a princely crown with elaborate ornamentation. The shield rests on a decorative base and the overall composition is rendered in high relief against a plain field. No legend appears on the obverse.
