Obverse description Crowned royal cypher consisting of the interlaced script initials GR (Georgius Rex), surmounted by a royal crown with arched top and cross finial. The monogram is rendered in an ornate calligraphic style with elaborate flourishes filling the field. The circular legend CONVENT MUNZE. GR runs along the upper periphery, denoting the Conventions monetary standard.

Reverse description Four-line raised inscription in plain Roman capital letters centered in the field, reading IIII above PFENN. above the date 1817, with the mint mark H below.
