Obverse description Central field features the crowned royal cipher of Frederick II of Prussia, composed of an interlaced script 'FR' monogram surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. The monogram is rendered in a bold, intertwined Baroque style typical of mid-18th century German coinage. A fine beaded or toothed border frames the periphery of the flan. The overall design is spare, with no surrounding legend, placing full visual emphasis on the sovereign's crowned cypher.
