Opmerkingen

Motril, a coastal town in Granada province, was a Republican stronghold during the Civil War, and its local militias and union committees issued emergency scrip when the national currency supply broke down after July 1936. The "U.H.P." in the issuer's name stands for Unios Hermanos Proletarios — the rallying slogan that had already been used as a revolutionary watchword during the October 1934 Asturias uprising, here repurposed as a formal committee designation.

Local Civil War scrip from Andalusian towns survives in tiny quantities; much was demonetized and destroyed as Republican territory contracted. The Gari Montaner reference confirms regional cataloguing, though population data for this specific denomination remains sparse.
